Bow Thrusters
Bow thrusters are the ideal solution for manoeuvering a vessel at lower speeds when the required control of the movements, especially those of the bow, becomes extremely difficult to achieve.
Bow thrusters come in various sizes and can be fitted in boats from 25ft to 300ft. They can be either electric or hydraulic bow thrusters. Constant running time is reduced on a larger vessel, however hydraulic thrusters systems can be fitted for larger, longer running vessels.
Retractable systems can be fitted if there is not enough depth of hull at the bow to make a standard system work efficiently.
Proportional controls are also now available enabling you to be a lot more precise when Manoeuvering in tight situations.
Complete control of the movements of the bow can be achieved by operating the bow thruster.
