Paint & Protection

You’d never know that this immaculately maintained Hunton 42 was nearly 20 years old, but her bright red paint work had a few dings and had started to loose its lustre so the client came to Osmotech to bring her back to her former glory.

Our expert team first abraded the topsides and hull above the waterline and then blasted the old anti-foul off the bottom.  She was then very carefully given four coats of Awlcraft 2000 Sunfast red paint to the visible areas and the hull was treated to four layers of Gelshield 200 and two layers of Interspeed Ultra antifoul.

Red is a notoriously difficult colour with which to paint a boat, but the finished result was fantastic.  The client was delighted – he even bought our paint-shop lads a bottle of champagne – and he is now the proud owner of a boat that looks brand new.
