Side-power has developed the commercial and superyacht share of their business gradually, through the experience of manufacturing thousands of smaller thrusters for the production boat market around the world.

Side-power also invest considerable time and effort researching and developing their products and bringing them to market, which means that Side-power have been able to develop high quality, reliable products whilst keeping a check on cost-effectiveness.
Two larger thruster models have been developed for yachts in the 30m to 52m market, the SH1000 & SH1400.

These thrusters can be powered by either an AC electric motor or by a hydraulic motor, they are fitted with a bronze Q-prop 5 blade propeller, which has been designed to be energy efficient and very quiet. These thrusters are compatible with the S-link control system which gives fully intelligent communication throughout the whole system.
